Here’s a simple step that will help you save time and get more done.

When creating To-do lists, be sure to ALWAYS write a verb to the left of whatever item you put on your To-Do Lists.

For example, if you put “Budget” on your list, are you going to;

Plan the budget
Think about the budget,
Talk about the budget
File the budget.

Choose the verb that’s best for the action you intend to take.

Most people are in such a hurry that they make To-Do lists by writing words like “Budget” on their To-Do Lists and they don’t realize they are actually creating lists of projects.

Stop right now and realize that projects have multiple steps. Thus, when you are hurrying again on the following day and see a list of projects on your To-Do list, it’s human nature to start procrastinating those items. You don’t want to procrastinate. You want to accomplish.

The good news is that when you put a verb to the left of each item you write on your To-Do list, you actually are creating bite size steps for the actions you intend to take. Those action steps are ones you’ll be more inclined to handle and less inclined to procrastinate.

Implement this suggestion and you’ll find you get more results in your days.
